Arturas Braziunas

A note from the author: "I would classify myself as a late 20th–early 21st-century neo-modernist and neo-romantic, belonging to those who continue and expand the traditions of colorist painting while deeply exploring the formal and conceptual possibilities of color. My works, blending reality with the world of fantasy, meet the viewer with a bold, sometimes provocative gaze. I don’t just create a painting—I tell a story, often infused with humor and irony. Animals, landscapes, and plants come to life on my canvases, enriched with small yet poignant details that speak volumes. “Stop, time, you are so beautiful!” said Faust, and now I echo those words, capturing the surrounding world with paint on canvas."

The artist’s journey began with studies at the M.K. Čiurlionis Art School in Vilnius, followed by six years of painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. It wasn’t until more than a decade after graduation, though, that their passion for painting truly took off. Specializing in oil on canvas, Arturas has developed a style that resonates with audiences around the world. With over 30 solo exhibitions and more than 20 group shows across Lithuania, Poland, the United States, and Belarus, Braziunas' work has reached private collections in countries like Italy, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Australia, and beyond. While his heart lies in oil painting, Arturas Braziunas enjoys exploring other techniques as a curious observer, always finding inspiration in the broader world of art.
