Rasa Kazlauskiene is a Lithuanian abstract painter whose work explores emotion, freedom, and transformation through expressive color and texture. Based in Vilnius, she creates deeply atmospheric compositions that bring together intuition and refined artistic discipline.

Rasa’s journey to art was one of rediscovery. After graduating from Vilnius University with a degree in economics, she spent many years working within the structure of civil service before choosing to follow her lifelong creative impulse. After the age of 55, she made a conscious decision to step away from routine and dedicate herself fully to painting — a personal return to authenticity, creativity, and inner freedom.

Her creative process is profoundly intuitive and emotional. Rasa paints spontaneously, allowing subconscious rhythms to guide her brush across the canvas. Layering muted grays and deep blues with radiant touches of yellow and ochre, she builds richly textured surfaces that feel both raw and meditative. Her abstract compositions often reveal a subtle dialogue between light and shadow, the known and the unseen.

Rasa’s paintings capture a moment of stillness within movement — a quiet tension where reflection meets revelation. Each work invites viewers to slow down and connect with their own inner landscapes, while exploring themes of transformation, courage, and the beauty found in imperfection.

Rasa Kazlauskiene has exhibited her work in multiple solo and group exhibitions in Vilnius, and her paintings are now held in private collections and modern interiors across Lithuania.
