RASA KAZLAUSKIENE
Rasa Kazlauskiene is a Lithuanian abstract painter whose work explores emotion, freedom, and transformation through color and texture. Based in Vilnius, she creates deeply atmospheric compositions that merge intuition with refined artistic discipline.
Rasa’s path to art was one of rediscovery. A graduate of Vilnius University in economics, she spent many years in the structure of civil service before choosing to follow her lifelong creative impulse. After turning fifty-five, she made a conscious decision to step away from routine and dedicate herself fully to painting - a return to authenticity and inner freedom.
Her creative process is profoundly intuitive and emotional. Rasa paints spontaneously, allowing subconscious rhythms to guide her brush across the canvas. Layering muted grays and deep blues with radiant bursts of yellow and ochre, she builds textures that feel both raw and meditative. Her abstract compositions often reveal a subtle dialogue between light and shadow - between the known and the unseen.
Rasa’s work captures a moment of stillness within movement - a quiet tension where reflection meets revelation. Each painting invites viewers to slow down and connect with their own inner landscapes. Her art speaks of transformation, courage, and the beauty of imperfection.
Rasa Kazlauskienė has exhibited her work in multiple solo and group shows in Vilnius, and her paintings now reside in private collections and modern interiors across Lithuania. Through her art, she continues to inspire with her message: it is never too late to begin, to create, and to rediscover freedom through color.
