Between Two Cities by Aurelijus Langvinis unfolds like a serene vision of harmony and passage. Two vast trees anchor the landscape, their emerald crowns arching over luminous cities that rest at the foot of distant waterfalls. Between them stretches a crimson path leading toward a monumental gateway, beyond which the mountains ascend into eternity. At the path’s beginning, two children stand in quiet wonder, bathed in the glow of small, hovering orbs - gentle symbols of guidance, curiosity, and awakening.

Langvinis composes this world with a sense of sacred symmetry. The pairing of the cities mirrors the duality within every human heart - reason and imagination, home and adventure, the known and the unknown. The waterfalls, descending from golden cliffs, seem to pour time itself into the valley, while the trees rise as keepers of memory and renewal. Through this geometry of nature and civilization, the artist constructs not only a landscape but a map of the soul - one where beauty and meaning coexist in perfect equilibrium.

In Between Two Cities, Aurelijus Langvinis captures the moment before transformation - the pause between innocence and discovery. The children’s gaze toward the mountains becomes an emblem of aspiration, a reminder that all journeys, no matter how grand or small, begin in wonder. The twin cities, the path of red, and the towering gate together form a silent prayer to unity, suggesting that enlightenment is found not at one destination but in the space that connects them.

Meet the artist

Aurelijus Langvinis

Aurelijus Langvinis, currently residing and creating in Lithuania, is an artist whose imaginative vision transports viewers into otherworldly realms. Actively painting with oils on canvas, Aurelijus primarily delves into the fantasy genre, where his pieces breathe life into fantastical landscapes and cities.

Central to Aurelijus's work is the symbolism of trees. For him, trees represent protection and life - a tribute to his late grandfather, a gardener who planted numerous trees. As a child, Aurelijus found solace and adventure playing among those trees, a memory that profoundly shapes his artistic expression today.
