Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis by Arunas Miliukas captures the poetic tension between decay and rebirth - a surreal structure caught mid-transformation, as if the laws of gravity and time were gently dissolving. A once-stable tower arches upward, fragmenting into drifting forms that hover against a luminous sky. Each piece seems to remember its original purpose, yet now moves toward a freer, more abstract existence. Miliukas transforms architecture into metaphor - a living organism shedding the weight of its own permanence.
The palette is restrained but rich - ochres and rusted golds meet celestial blues, creating an atmosphere both ancient and otherworldly. The cracked textures of the surface mimic the erosion of memory, while the ethereal planet above watches silently, a witness to change. Despite the ruin below, there is no despair; rather, a quiet sense of inevitability, of transformation as a sacred act. The tower bends but does not break - it evolves, carrying its story into new dimensions of being.
In Metamorphosis, Arunas Miliukas explores the fragile beauty of transition - the moment when the known dissolves into the possible. The painting speaks to the essence of creation itself: that nothing truly falls apart, but merely changes form. Through his masterful balance of surrealism and symbolism, Miliukas reveals that metamorphosis is not an end, but a beginning disguised as collapse.
