In Migle Kosinskaite’s work, Point of View presents a single face divided into two contrasting halves. One side is bright and warm, the other dark and cool, creating an immediate sense of duality. Despite the difference in tones, the expression stays calm and steady, bringing the two sides together.
The hair highlights the contrast even more. On the left, it flows in vivid copper curls, full of light and movement. On the right, it shifts into deep gray waves, softer and shadowed. Even the clothing follows this split, with one shoulder in bright red and the other fading into black, reinforcing the idea of seeing the world in more than one way.
At its heart, Point of View is about the balance between opposites - light and dark, warmth and coolness, clarity and mystery. The artwork shows how different sides can coexist within one person. And while the piece stands strongly on its own, its thoughtful contrast fits naturally within Migle Kosinskaite’s wider exploration of identity and emotion.
