Migle Kosinskaite’s Unicorn reimagines the mythical creature for the modern age - not as a symbol of fantasy, but of rarity, grace, and inner belief. Emerging from a field of shadow, the unicorn’s bowed head suggests quiet resilience rather than spectacle. Its horn, tipped faintly in rose, becomes a subtle emblem of imagination - that spark of vision that endures even in a muted world. The creature embodies what the word “unicorn” has come to mean in contemporary life: something extraordinary that appears once in a generation, a creation too rare to replicate.

Rendered in atmospheric tones of charcoal, bronze, and violet dusk, the composition invites stillness. The softness of the light and the downward gaze of the animal lend a spiritual gravity to the work, evoking reverence rather than wonder. There is power in its silence, strength in its modesty - an echo of innovation and originality concealed beneath restraint. Kosinskaitė paints the unicorn not as myth, but as metaphor: a reflection of those who quietly persist in believing when the world forgets how.

In Unicorn, the artist unites ancient symbolism with the language of the present. It becomes a portrait of modern magic - the courage to create, to dream, and to remain authentic in a world that prizes imitation. It is both a timeless allegory and a contemporary icon - a reminder that the rarest beauty is not loud, but luminous.
