Your Breakfast, Madam by Migle Kosinskaite delights in its surreal wit and graceful absurdity. Two impeccably dressed penguins, clad in tailored tuxedos, stand poised against a striped backdrop, their gestures precise and elegant. They offer a cup of coffee and a slice of cake with the solemnity of ritual, their avian composure transforming an everyday act into a ceremony of quiet humor. Through this juxtaposition, Kosinskaite invites us to reflect on the beauty of manners, the poetry of formality, and the fragile performance of civility that defines human life.

The restrained palette - muted browns, creams, and blacks - grounds the whimsical scene in sophistication, while the sharp vertical lines behind the figures suggest the rigidity of social structures. Yet, the penguins’ natural grace softens the satire: they are both participants in and observers of human decorum. Kosinskaite’s brushwork balances precision with warmth, her textures rich with tactile detail that blurs the line between costume and nature.

In Your Breakfast, Madam, Kosinskaite merges humor with elegance, crafting a portrait of etiquette as both theater and truth. The composition speaks of roles we play and the masks we wear - not to deceive, but to belong. It is a quietly brilliant reflection on dignity, absurdity, and the delicate choreography of existence
