In Guardians of the Fire, Eurika Urbonaviciute invokes an ancient ritual of balance and reverence. Two mirrored figures face one another, their gestures precise and solemn, as if preserving the last ember of a sacred flame. Between them hovers a radiant sphere - part sun, part seed - held in perfect equilibrium by devotion and understanding.
Rendered in burnished golds and deep umbers, the composition glows with inner heat. The robes of the guardians are inscribed with swirling symbols, evoking both the movement of fire and the cyclical nature of life. Urbonaviciute’s textured brushwork lends the scene a sculptural gravity, as though carved from memory itself - a remembrance of when humanity first learned to cradle light.
