In Dzin Dzen - Andrius Miezis constructs a surreal meditation on perception and awareness. A fragmented head emerges from a textured, collage-like space - its ear, eye, and lips scattered like misplaced thoughts, while peculiar plant-like forms sprout from the top of the cranium. The composition blurs the line between inner consciousness and external chaos.
The title, echoing the rhythm of “Zen,” hints at contemplation and absurdity intertwined. The raised hand reaching out seems to grasp at meaning amid the disarray of shapes, textures, and abstract markings.
Miezis captures a sense of searching - not for clarity, but for acceptance of confusion itself. In this strange, meditative world, balance is found not through order, but through surrender to the hum of existence - the quiet dzin dzen of thought and being.
