In Flower of Paradise II, Aukse Drazdiene transforms natural form into sacred geometry - a vision of harmony where growth, pattern, and rhythm converge in silent unity. The artwork captures the pulse of life seen from within, as if nature itself were dreaming in symmetrical language. Its intricate architecture speaks of balance and transformation, revealing that creation is not chaos, but a measured dance between energy and stillness.

The piece radiates with structural grace. Branches twist and interlace like organic filigree, framing a luminous center that seems to breathe. The palette of muted blues, greys, and ivory tones evokes serenity, while Drazdiene’s fine linework creates the illusion of depth and motion. Every detail feels deliberate - veins like pathways, stems like threads of time, leading the eye inward toward a tranquil core. The symmetry of the composition mirrors the quiet perfection found in nature’s own design, where every curve serves a purpose and every space holds meaning.

Through Flower of Paradise II, Drazdiene reflects on the divine geometry of existence - how all living structures echo one another in form and spirit. The work invites meditation, offering a sense of calm order amid complexity. In dialogue with Flower of Paradise I, it completes a visual contemplation on the cycles of growth and unity, embodying the artist’s timeless search for balance between nature, imagination, and the sacred rhythm of life.

Meet the artist

Aukse Drazdiene

Aukse Drazdiene is a Lithuanian artist whose work unveils a dreamlike world of flora suspended between reality and imagination. Born in Klaipėda in 1974, she graduated from the Kaunas Justinas Vienožinskis Faculty of Arts with a specialization in artistic leather. Since 2020, she has developed her own distinctive mixed technique, combining the precision of graphics with the softness of watercolor. She became a member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists' Union in 2025.

Drazdiene's art is deeply inspired by nature - its forms, textures, and unexpected beauty. Yet her works do not aim to replicate what already exists. Instead, she transforms flowers and plants into mystical, surreal botanical worlds that appear both delicate and monumental. Each piece feels like a quiet meditation, balancing fragility and strength, detail and imagination.
