In Flowers of Dreams II, Aukse Drazdiene invites the viewer into an intricate world where nature transcends its earthly form and becomes a living architecture of the subconscious. The artwork blooms from symmetry and imagination, revealing a realm where petals turn into labyrinths and stems into threads of thought. It captures the tension between awakening and dream, embodying that moment when vision and memory intertwine into something timeless and otherworldly.

The composition pulsates with quiet precision. Drazdiene’s floral forms unfold like celestial diagrams - both botanical and mechanical, both fragile and enduring. The muted palette of greens, mauves, and ochres glows against the soft metallic undertone of the background, giving the image an ethereal luminosity. Each petal and filament is rendered with surgical grace, yet the overall rhythm feels fluid, alive, and endlessly unfolding. The symmetry suggests reflection and repetition, echoing the structure of thought itself - delicate, infinite, and deeply organic.

Through Flowers of Dreams II, Drazdiene contemplates the architecture of imagination - how beauty can emerge from both precision and chaos. The work stands in poetic dialogue with Flowers of Dreams I, together forming a mirrored vision of subconscious growth. They speak of inner landscapes, of the silent gardens within us all, where dreams bloom and dissolve in perpetual transformation.

Meet the artist

Aukse Drazdiene

Aukse Drazdiene is a Lithuanian artist whose work unveils a dreamlike world of flora suspended between reality and imagination. Born in Klaipėda in 1974, she graduated from the Kaunas Justinas Vienožinskis Faculty of Arts with a specialization in artistic leather. Since 2020, she has developed her own distinctive mixed technique, combining the precision of graphics with the softness of watercolor. She became a member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists' Union in 2025.

Drazdiene's art is deeply inspired by nature - its forms, textures, and unexpected beauty. Yet her works do not aim to replicate what already exists. Instead, she transforms flowers and plants into mystical, surreal botanical worlds that appear both delicate and monumental. Each piece feels like a quiet meditation, balancing fragility and strength, detail and imagination.
