In Fountain, Migle Kosinskaite composes a vision of controlled nature and quiet enchantment. The scene unfolds in a perfectly sculpted garden, where geometric hedges and trees stand like green sentinels under a still, dim sky. At the center, a soft white cloud hovers directly above a circular basin, releasing a gentle stream of rain. This impossible harmony between sky and earth transforms the fountain into a living paradox - an object both crafted and spontaneous, artificial and divine.

Kosinskaite’s precision in form evokes a sense of ritual order. Every hedge, cone, and sphere feels meticulously designed, echoing humanity’s desire to impose structure on the organic. Yet the cloud - ethereal, unpredictable - becomes the true source of grace, a reminder that beauty often arrives unbidden. The muted palette of greens and grays deepens the atmosphere of stillness, allowing the eye to rest and the mind to drift toward quiet reflection.

Fountain is a meditation on balance - between control and surrender, reason and reverie. Kosinskaite invites us to consider how even within the confines of order, the miraculous may descend, soft and unannounced. The painting lingers like a serene dream, where the world’s geometry yields to wonder, and where a single cloud, suspended in perfect symmetry, becomes the keeper of calm.
