Tree of Life IV by Gintaras Tadauskas is a meditation on balance and resilience. The solitary tree rises in quiet dignity, its branches forming an intricate architecture of strength and grace. Shades of emerald and blue shimmer across its canopy, evoking renewal, intuition, and calm - a reflection of life’s deep rhythms and unseen currents. The delicate pointillist surface seems to breathe, capturing the invisible flow of energy between earth and sky.

Tadauskas transforms simplicity into transcendence. The form is minimal, yet profoundly symbolic - the tree as a vessel of existence, connecting the physical and the spiritual. Through subtle gradations of color and texture, the artist reveals the harmony within contrast: solidity and air, stillness and motion, individuality and universality. It is both an image and an experience - an invitation to pause, to listen to the silent pulse of life itself.

Tree of Life IV and Tree of Life III together create a contemplative duality - day and dusk, breath and heartbeat, the inward and outward flow of being. In their shared language of color and light, Tadauskas explores life as an evolving continuum. Both paintings resonate as meditative icons of existence, each whispering that within every still form lies infinite transformation.

Meet the artist

Gintaras Tadauskas

Gintaras Tadauskas creates art that captivates not only with its unique technique but also with the profound values embedded in each painting. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, Tadauskas expresses his soul through themes of transformation and the beauty of life. From the strong roots of trees with sunlit birds perched at their tops to the magical journey of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, his work celebrates life’s fleeting yet eternal wonders. “Trees, butterflies, and birds guide us forward into something eternal—beyond the limits of our life journey,” he says.

Tadauskas’ work is crafted using one of the oldest artistic techniques: mineral tempera, a method that dates back to the creation of timeless icons. Minerals are extracted from stone and mixed with egg yolks to create colors that remain vibrant and unchanged for centuries. This technique, paired with the rich, vivid, and sometimes mysterious hues of his art, gives Tadauskas’ paintings a radiant glow that draws viewers in, inviting them to pause and reflect on the deeper beauty of life.
