Duel by Migle Kosinskaite captures a moment of poetic confrontation between fragility and permanence. Against the backdrop of a cold, industrial bridge, a lone snowman stands upright, composed of perfect black spheres. The atmosphere is subdued and heavy with snowfall, each flake suspended in a quiet choreography of stillness. The monochrome palette, softened by fog, turns the scene into a memory - a dialogue between presence and emptiness, between something made by hand and something built to last.

Kosinskaite transforms this minimal encounter into an allegory of endurance. The snowman’s small, ephemeral form contrasts with the monumental structure behind it, revealing the delicate tension between the temporary and the eternal. In its stillness, the figure becomes both defiant and tender, a silent emblem of resilience in the face of inevitable dissolution.

Together, Duel and Duel II form a cycle of reflection on existence itself. Where Duel contemplates the fragile persistence of life, Duel II follows its quiet surrender to time - the transformation of form into void, of defiance into rest. United, they speak of the human condition with quiet gravity, tracing the passage from creation to disappearance beneath the falling snow.
