In Green Deal, Migle Kosinskaite transforms the language of politics and sustainability into a surreal garden allegory - a quiet conversation sculpted in leaves. Within a lush wall of green, three topiary figures face one another: a towering sphere, a mushroom-like pedestal, and a kangaroo poised in profile. Each is meticulously shaped, their living forms trimmed into perfection - nature disciplined into geometry. Yet beneath the serenity of form lies subtle irony: a negotiation between control and growth, between human order and the wild intelligence of the natural world.

Kosinskaite’s mastery of tone and texture immerses the viewer in an atmosphere of chlorophyll light - every leaf rendered with precision, every shadow carrying the hush of late afternoon. The symmetry and stillness evoke a dialogue without words, where nature and artifice coexist in fragile harmony. The title, Green Deal, alludes to humanity’s contemporary contracts with the environment - pacts often more sculpted than sincere, beautiful in form yet uncertain in meaning.

This work stands as both celebration and critique - a meditation on stewardship and illusion. Kosinskaite’s garden is neither utopia nor warning, but a mirror of our era’s ambition to control what should be nurtured. Green Deal is lush, ironic, and deeply reflective - a masterpiece of balance between elegance, wit, and ecological awareness.
