Leaf by Migle Kosinskaite is a delicate study of duality - an emblem of nature transformed through the language of design. The artist reimagines the organic silhouette of a leaf as a dialogue between pattern and surface, where texture becomes both metaphor and skin. The work pulses with tension between the natural and the artificial, the instinctive and the constructed - a reflection on how identity, like fabric, can be tailored and re-tailored by time.

The composition unfolds with quiet precision - the left side adorned in rhythmic monochrome pattern, the right side glowing with bold, quilted red. Between them runs a dark seam, a line of equilibrium and quiet defiance. It is a leaf, but also an emblem - of metamorphosis, individuality, and the soft rebellion of aesthetic evolution.

Leaf finds its echo in Leaves II, together forming a visual duet on texture, transformation, and symbolic renewal. Through these two works, Migle Kosinskaite expands her exploration of form and materiality, blending nature’s grace with the couture of imagination.

Migle Kosinskaite

Migle Kosinskaite is a celebrated artist currently based in Kaunas, Lithuania. A graduate of the Painting Department at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association since 2001.

Migle's work has been showcased in personal exhibitions across Lithuania and internationally, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Ukraine, and Sweden.

Her art is known for its surrealistic style, blending realistic depictions of humans and animals with intricate geometric patterns and theatrical themes. Recurring motifs like masks and costumes highlight her fascination with femininity, relationships, and emotional expression. Kosinskaite's pieces exude a sensual, romantic, and often dramatic energy, making her work both thought-provoking and visually captivating.
