In Migle Kosinskaite’s work, Paloma Negra features two figures sitting side by side, their expressions soft and almost identical. The grayscale tones of their faces and bodies blend gently with the striped background, giving the scene a calm, muted atmosphere. Small red dots are scattered across the composition, adding subtle rhythm and movement.

Each figure holds a bright red square against their chest, and inside these squares are two contrasting birds - one dark, one white. These birds become the emotional center of the painting, symbolizing differences, choices, or inner states. The bold red frames stand out strongly against the quiet background, drawing the viewer’s attention immediately.

At its heart, Paloma Negra explores contrast and connection - how two sides can exist together while holding their own meaning. The artwork balances softness with strong visual symbols. And while the piece stands beautifully on its own, its thoughtful duality fits naturally within Migle Kosinskaite’s broader collection of emotionally expressive and symbolic works.
