Monika Zajarskiene’s Layers is a grounded meditation on accumulation - a composition shaped by horizontal bands that unfold like sediment slowly formed over time. Deep browns, charcoals, and muted mineral beiges stretch across the surface in rhythmic intervals, creating a visual cadence that feels steady, elemental, and enduring. The torn, organic edges reinforce the sense that this form has not been constructed, but revealed - as though lifted directly from the earth.
The earthy palette shifts subtly between light and dark, allowing texture to emerge through fractured, tactile markings. These organic imprints resemble weathered soil, pressed fibers, or traces left by natural forces.
