Monika Zajarskiene’s Shore is a quiet moment of suspension - a composition shaped by division, distance, and the natural poetry of separation. Two torn, organic forms stand apart across the canvas, their horizontal layers unfolding in muted tones of sand, ash, and weathered earth. The earthy palette settles into soft gradients, creating a restrained visual rhythm that feels grounded, calm, and contemplative.

Within these separated surfaces lies a deeper invitation. Shore evokes the meeting point between land and water - a space where erosion is gentle, gradual, and inevitable. Dark, scattered markings move across the layered bands like traces left by receding tides, suggesting memory, passage, and the quiet imprint of time. The negative space between the two forms becomes essential to the composition, transforming absence into presence and distance into dialogue.

At its heart, Shore is a meditation on boundaries and connection - the delicate balance between holding on and letting drift. Zajarskiene transforms fragmentation into a symbol of continuity, reminding us that even when forms part, they remain shaped by the same forces. Through its grounded tones and tactile textures, the artwork speaks softly: every separation carries within it the echo of union, and every edge is also a place of meeting.
