Evening at the Pool by Zivile Rudzikaite-Matuzoniene captures the quiet edge between light and solitude. A lone figure, dressed in a deep red swimsuit and white cap, sits folded into reflection as dusk settles. The world around her fades into muted darkness, broken only by the soft gleam of the water and the gentle presence of a small bird perched upon her knee - a whisper of life amid stillness.

Rudzikaite-Matuzoniene paints the moment with restrained tenderness, her geometry clean yet profoundly human. The cool blues and shadowed blacks seem to hold their breath, framing the figure’s soft contemplation. The minimalism invites a sense of intimacy - the pool becomes both real and symbolic, a place of pause where thoughts ripple like water under evening light.

In Evening at the Pool, silence becomes luminous. The scene distills the feeling of an ending day - not sadness, but peace, the delicate recognition of one’s own inner rhythm echoing against the quiet surface of time.
