In Caretaker II, Migle Kosinskaite continues her exploration of guardianship through a lens of tenderness and introspection. A raven, dressed in a diamond-patterned robe reminiscent of harlequin costume, stands in profile before a single calla lily. The bird’s composed stillness contrasts with the flower’s fragile vitality - a moment of balance between intellect and emotion, discipline and grace. The muted pastel tones lend the piece a sense of quiet warmth, as though light were filtered through memory.

The geometric symmetry of the garment grounds the work in structure, while the ruffled white collar recalls both ritual and restraint. Migle Kosinskaite

Migle Kosinskaite is a celebrated artist currently based in Kaunas, Lithuania. A graduate of the Painting Department at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association since 2001.

Migle's work has been showcased in personal exhibitions across Lithuania and internationally, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Ukraine, and Sweden.

Her art is known for its surrealistic style, blending realistic depictions of humans and animals with intricate geometric patterns and theatrical themes.
