In Migle Kosinskaite’s Promenade, surrealism is softened into quiet allegory. Two figures stand back-to-back, identical in stance yet forever divided, their human bodies draped in vivid pink dresses, their heads those of sheep. The scene feels both tender and unsettling - a portrait of conformity, duality, and the fragile line between innocence and submission. The earthy background, streaked with gold and shadow, forms a stage where the figures seem to float between childhood memory and dream.

Kosinskaite’s delicate equilibrium of humor and melancholy imbues the painting with layered meaning. The lamb-headed twins echo each other in stillness, evoking both companionship and isolation. Migle Kosinskaite

Migle Kosinskaite is a celebrated artist currently based in Kaunas, Lithuania. A graduate of the Painting Department at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association since 2001.

Migle's work has been showcased in personal exhibitions across Lithuania and internationally, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Ukraine, and Sweden.
