Well Hello
Andrius Miezis’s Well Hello greets the viewer with both humor and unease. Against a serene blue sky, a peculiar gray head stares out - its bulging eyes like camera lenses, its metallic lips frozen in a mechanical half-smile. To the right, a silhouetted hand raises a friendly gesture with the word “HELLO” inscribed upon it, yet the greeting feels oddly sterile, as if transmitted through a digital void.
The composition plays on the tension between warmth and alienation, communication and distortion. The simplified forms and clean gradients evoke a futuristic cartoon, but beneath the surface lies a commentary on how technology reshapes human contact. The gaze is direct yet vacant - an invitation and a warning at once.
