Our Father by Darius Kairaitis radiates with the quiet innocence of wonder - a childlike soul lifted toward the unseen. The figure, bathed in soft celestial light, gazes upward as though toward something both infinite and intimate. Around them, tiny orbs shimmer like prayers taking form, their glow illuminating the tender humanity of the moment. Through this portrait, Kairaitis captures not the grandeur of divinity, but the fragile yearning that connects human hearts to mystery.

The artist’s brushwork floats between realism and dream - translucent layers of blue and gold conjure an atmosphere that feels both underwater and ethereal. The child’s elongated features and wide eyes carry a sense of timeless purity, echoing the universal search for guidance and belonging. Each glowing sphere seems to pulse with emotion, becoming metaphors for faith, memory, or hope itself.

In Our Father, Darius Kairaitis reimagines devotion as a gentle act of awe. The painting breathes with humility and curiosity, reminding us that belief need not be loud to be profound. It invites us to remember the light we once reached for without fear - the pure, wordless prayer that still rises quietly from within.

Darius Kairaitis

Darius Kairaitis is a Lithuanian painter whose art is as unique as his journey. A self-taught artist, he discovered his passion for painting at the age of 48, proving that creativity knows no age. His works, rich in emotion and originality, have gained recognition both in Lithuania and internationally, captivating audiences with their vibrant colors, symbolic depth, and whimsical charm.

Kairaitis’ signature style features “little figures,” expressive characters that serve as narrators of his stories. In 2020, Kairaitis received permission to incorporate Shustrov’s dolls and their fragments into his work, resulting in several early paintings that beautifully intertwine the sculptor’s motifs with Kairaitis’ unique artistic vision. These figures, often reflecting human emotions and experiences, invite viewers to connect on a deeply personal level. His paintings are a blend of bold textures, soft lines, and intuitive color play, creating pieces that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
