Blue Moons by Krista Augius is a mesmerizing meditation on rhythm, reflection, and the quiet pulse of infinity. The composition unfolds in a sequence of soft, celestial circles drifting across an ocean of luminous indigo. Each form feels suspended - like a breath held between tides, a pause in time’s eternal flow. The surface shimmers with layered blues that deepen and dissolve, evoking both the sky’s vastness and the intimacy of water touched by light.

Through repetition and restraint, Augius constructs a visual mantra. The circles, though identical in shape, seem to vary in weight and tone, creating the illusion of motion within stillness. The horizon line, gently diffused into mist, becomes the seam between two dimensions - above and below, seen and felt. The viewer’s gaze drifts effortlessly across this cosmic field, pulled into the cadence of the infinite. It is abstraction rendered as music, where silence becomes form.

In Blue Moons, Krista Augius distills the essence of serenity. The painting captures the quiet geometry of wonder - the way simple patterns, when touched by emotion, can expand into universes. It is both ethereal and grounded, mathematical and meditative. Through its hypnotic clarity, the work reminds us that the infinite is not distant, but quietly present in every repetition of light and breath.

Through distinct bodies of work – including Mythical Abstraction, Circles of Intention, Mythical Codes, and imaginative figurative compositions Augius explores themes of
presence and absence, nature and transformation. Each piece is a visual meditation: layered, intuitive, and quietly powerful.

Krista Augius’s art encourages a slow gaze and a personal response, offering a contemplative space where the inner world meets the shared human experience.
