Fiji Green by Krista Augius unfolds like a breath of light drawn from the heart of the earth. The composition glows with layers of translucent emerald and misted gold, evoking a world suspended between ocean and sky. It feels less painted than grown - an organic blooming of radiance and calm. The surface undulates with subtle forms that resemble coral, cloud, and thought, fusing the rhythms of nature and inner consciousness into a single, living field of color.

Augius constructs a realm where light becomes tactile, almost sentient. The brushstrokes are fluid yet controlled, their softness concealing deliberate intricacy beneath the haze. There is a sense of endlessness - a horizon diffused, a depth that hums rather than shouts. The viewer is not positioned before a landscape but within one, drawn into an atmosphere of serenity and rebirth. Every gradation of green feels like renewal, every shimmer an echo of energy beneath stillness.

In Fiji Green, Krista Augius channels the language of transformation. The painting speaks to the sacred balance between vitality and tranquility, between what is seen and what is felt. It becomes a meditation on growth and surrender - a visual hymn to the quiet pulse that connects all living things. Through its radiant stillness, the work reminds us that paradise is not a place, but a state of perception.

Krista Augius

Krista Augius is a Malibu based multidisciplinary artist best known for her richly textured oil paintings that blur the boundaries between myth, emotion, and illusion. Her work invites the viewer into an atmospheric realm where abstraction meets symbolism, and where silence often speaks louder than words.

Through distinct bodies of work – including Mythical Abstraction, Circles of Intention, Mythical Codes, and imaginative figurative compositions Augius explores themes of
presence and absence, nature and transformation. Each piece is a visual meditation: layered, intuitive, and quietly powerful.

Krista Augius’s art encourages a slow gaze and a personal response, offering a contemplative space where the inner world meets the shared human experience.

Augius has exhibited in international art fairs and institutions, including the LA Art Show, SF Art Market, and a cultural exhibition in Palermo, Italy, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Consulate. Her work has also been displayed at the MAACA Museum in Italy and, in 2024, also had a show and was acquired as part of the permanent collection at the Samogitian Museum in Lithuania.
